District of Columbia Annuity Resources
One way the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking protects consumers is by making sure that the companies and individuals selling insurance and annuity products within the District are properly licensed and qualified to promote the products they are selling. The Department's website at http://www.disb.dc.gov contains information about regulatory areas and functions for the insurance industry. While the site does not contain a specific "annuity" category, it does contain information about the financial reports and market regulations exams that insurance companies must provide.
