Nebraska Annuity

The mission of the Nebraska Department of Insurance is in part to safeguard consumers and businesses affected by the purchase and sale of insurance products within the state. The department seeks to ensure that all insurance companies and agents operate within the regulatory and statutory boundaries as established by law. Two of its most important duties are to regulate licensing and examination, and to review the solvency of the insurance companies that sell insurance and annuities to consumers in Montana.

Nebraska Insurance Commissioner

Governor Dave Heineman appointed Bruce Ramge as Director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance on November 15, 2010. Prior to the appointment, Director Ramge served as the Acting Director and as Deputy Director before that. Director Ramge has worked on a number of National Association of Insurance Commissioners committees and working groups. He also served as president of the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society. Director Ramge's awards include the 2007 IRES Foundation's Paul L. DeAngelo Teaching Award and the 2007 Al Greer Award. Director Ramge holds an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and graduated from Dana College.
