The mission of the Nebraska Department of Insurance is in part to safeguard consumers and businesses affected by the purchase and sale of insurance products within the state. The department seeks to ensure that all insurance companies and agents operate within the regulatory and statutory boundaries as established by law. Two of its most important duties are to regulate licensing and examination, and to review the solvency of the insurance companies that sell insurance and annuities to consumers in Montana.
