Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner
John D. Doak became the 12th Insurance Commissioner for the state of Oklahoma in January of 2011. Commissioner Doak began his insurance career in 1988, eventually developing his own Farmer's Insurance Agency branch in Tulsa. Mr. Doak left Farmer's to join the executive level of the insurance industry at Marsh, Aon Risk Services, HNI Risk Services and Ascension Insurance, where he was the senior vice president of acquisitions. Commissioner Doak holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Oklahoma.
