The Oregon Insurance Division is a division of the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services. The mailing address of the Insurance Division is PO Box 14480, Salem, OR 97309. It is the goal of the Division to protect the public by ensuring the financial stability of insurers, the affordability of insurance for consumers and the fair treatment of all policy and contract holders as it maintains a positive business climate.
Oregon Insurance Commissioner
Teresa Miller is the current Administrator of the Insurance Division for the state of Oregon. An attorney who specialized in handling consumer protection cases for the Oregon Department of Justice, Ms. Miller was also a former legislative director for Oregon's governor. She was appointed to her current position in July of 2009. She is a graduate of Willamette University College of Law in Salem, OR.

Included is information about equity-indexed annuities, variable annuities and how to determine if a particular annuity or insurance product is suitable to an individual consumer. Of particular interest to annuity consumers is the section, "Variable annuities and variable life products: Questions to ask." This title serves as a guide to help consumers understand the myriad implications of an annuity contract. Consumers who feel they have been the victims of insurance fraud can also file a complaint online with the Insurance Division.
